Kanye West - Stronger (Live @ VH1 Storytellers)
I’m bummed i missed the Glow in the Dark Tour, Kanye always goes all out with the set design.
“Bow in the presence of greatness, cause right now thou has forsaken us, You should be honored by my lateness, That I would even show up to this fake shit, So go ahead go nuts go ape shit”.
I’m looking forward to Kanye West’s storytellers episode on VH1 this upcoming saturday, because Kanye is one of the few artist (if not the only) who places a big emphasis on stage design. If you compare the stage of his previous performance on “the education of Kanye West” to this one you can see how far his understanding and appreciation for design has evolved in the past couple of years. The stage is a beautifully minimal set of highly reflective squares with the top one slanted to draw your eyes downwards towards him and it’s complimented by a thick horizontal line running throughout the venue that is made of screens that change to a wide range of colors. Now just add the light’s in coordination with his music and his untarnishable ego and you have a performance worth of a “bow for the presence of greatness.”
